Confessions

  1. I hate the sound of snow crunching under my feet. It’s the main reason why I’ve been avoiding walking the dog.
  2. I’ve pretty much cut sugar out of my tea. This is major. I was probably downing 6-8 tablespoons of honey/agave a day via my tea. I have not, however, been able to cut it out entirely. Sigh.
  3. I have no desire at all to take down my Christmas tree. I’m experiencing post-holiday blues and it makes me happy. Plus it’s just so darned pretty. Plus taking a tree down is just a horrible, unhappy task.
  4. I’ve been wearing buns lately and I really like them. There’s a sock in my bun, just FYI.
  5. The manfriend finally bought me a piece of jewelry that didn’t come with the comment, “Don’t you already have enough of this stuff?” I think it’s only because it serves a real purpose other than being pretty.

  1. I have NEVER heard of the sock bun before. How have I lived 32.5 years as a female without knowing this?!? P.S. I hate taking down Christmas trees. It’s a really depressing task.

  2. If it makes you feel better, I just learned about this sock bun thing too. My hair’s too short to do the method on youtube, so I do the other one and it works great. And yes, it’s a very depressing task. Very.

  • About Me

My mother is an encyclopedia of useless information (sorry, ma, but it's true) - no one can beat her at Trivial Pursuit. As I age, I become more like dear old mom everyday. I routinely tell people about resources, recipes, tips, tricks, or websites I've heard about, tried, live by, etc. until one of my clients urged me to start a blog. So here it is! My perpetual ramblings. I hope you find them useful and amusing. If you don't, you can either keep it to yourself or leave me a well constructed critique.

I'm a former massage therapist, a freelance journalist, and a web information architect and UX designer. I enjoy yoga, the Bar Method, camping, reading, gardening, and spending time with my friends and loved ones. I live in Colorado.
