The ties that bind

Family is an important thing. I’m a very lucky girl to have good relationships with my family and to consider my siblings and my parents to be some of my best, best friends. They truly are some of my most favorite people in the entire world.

Over the years we’ve collected new members – in-laws, their families (yo, yo Robbie! You still reading these musings, man?), kiddos, and friends that seem like family. Today we added a new member to the ranks – my little brother’s son.

Introducing Landon John:

It was a long road for my little bro and his wife. Poor doll was on bed-rest for MONTHS trying to keep that kid cooking. She did an excellent job taking her pregnancy to 38 weeks – weeks and weeks longer than the doctors expected. She’s a real champ! And I have to give credit to my little brother for taking over household duties and helping her out.

After three and a half hours of pushing (an amazing effort!), Landon had to be hauled out with forceps hence the cut and stitches under his eye. Honestly, he’s just trying to get in good with the ladies from the onset by showing what a tough guy he is!

So, that makes 8 nephews and 3 nieces for yours truly. We’re a blessed family indeed!
