5 things I’m loving right now

  1. Love-FireKicking the weekend off right with good friends, good food, and a good view on the roof of The Rio.
  2. Dancing! The floor was packed and so sticky it was hard to move, so we opted for dancing amongst the tables on the carpet. So, less than ideal circumstances, but we made the best of it. It felt good to dance again and I was pleased that I seem not to have forgotten much.
  3. A picnic that included looking out over McIntosh Lake to watch the sun set behind the Rockies.
  4. An afternoon spent splashing in the water and playing in the sand at Carter Lake.
  5. Quiet, blissful evenings spent relaxing.

5 things I’m loving right now

Love-FireI spent the weekend in Santa Barbara, CA visiting a friend and helping her grow her AdvoCare business. It yielded many things to love!

  1. The window seat on a plane. I almost always sit in the aisle, but I had the window seat on two flights this past weekend and it was awesome to see everything below us. I’ll be doing that more often!
  2. People who feel like long lost sisters and a kindred spirit. Robint and I had a great time!
  3. A nice walk on the beach. It’s been many years since I was down on the beach next to the ocean.
  4. The new Mad Max movie. So awesome! And probably one of the strangest movies I’ve ever seen. I wonder about some people’s imaginations. Truly.
  5. The excitement that comes from knowing you have solutions that can help people with their health and finances – the two biggest things people struggle with. It’s very empowering and humbling to help people find a better way.

5 things I’m loving right now

  1. Love-FireThe excitement my niece has when she sees me.
  2. Experiencing an amazingly powerful and inspirational weekend with some of my favorite people at the AdvoCare regional conference.
  3. Effortlessly thoughtful people. Do you know anyone like that? Where it’s just so obvious that being thoughtful is inherent and without any agenda whatsoever? If not, let me tell you that it’s pretty amazing.
  4. Falling asleep while being read to. Now I know why kids love it so much. Very soothing.
  5. People with vision and the cojones to take a leap of faith. It’s a scary thing to do, but great things usually result. Even if it’s great lessons on what not to do the next time you leap! Upshot – the leap is worth it.

5 things I’m loving right now

  1. Love-FireSupportive people who regularly send me prayers and good juju. We can all use a little of that, right?
  2.  Brown rice cakes with cashew butter. So satisfying for a healthy snack.
  3. Knowing that resolution to a stressful thing is right around the corner…
  4. Big, warm flannel shirts that keep me cozy on cold winter nights. I’m ready for winter to be over!
  5. Being able to help people feel better and more hopeful in their lives because of AdvoCare. It’s such a blessing to be a part of positive transformation with people.

Confession Thursday

  1. Confession I’ve been a little MIA on here lately and I’m sorry about that. There were a lot of people in town for the holidays and I just got caught up with all of that.
  2. I have quite a few boxelder bugs living in my place with me right now. For whatever reason, they don’t bother me at all. Now, if they were spiders or those centipede looking things with pincers on their heads, it would be all-out war.
  3. The past few weeks have been pretty cold, snowy, icy, and bleak. I’m already over winter, which is a supreme bummer considering it, basically, just started.
  4. I don’t know why I do this to myself, but every now and then I’ll eat dairy like it’s nobodies business. For days on end. And then my sinuses are all stuffy and inflamed and I’m uncomfortable. You’d think I’d have learned by now.
  5. Lately, while kids are being kids, people will look at me and say, “Are you sure you want to do this?” and point at their children. All sorts of people all over the place. (I know they’re, essentially, joking, but still.) Um, yup. I am. Thanks for your concern. Granted, I’ve never parented so I really have no idea what I’m talking about. But I did start babysitting at the age of 12, I am eight years older than my brother so I had a hand in taking a lot of care of him growing up, and I’ve been very active in helping out with my sister’s kids. I’m not a total moron at this. Seriously, the next person that says this is going to get a piece of my mind. Y’all have been warned.
